COOKIE
POLICY

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, to improve efficiency, and to provide information to website owners.

In addition to traditional cookies, we also use localStorage — a browser-based storage mechanism that stores data locally on your device without an expiry date unless explicitly cleared. Unlike cookies, localStorage data is not transmitted to our servers with every request.

This Cookie Policy applies to the French Village Karting investor platform and is governed by Canada's PIPEDA, Quebec's Law 25, and applicable Maine privacy regulations.

2. Technologies We Use

We operate a minimal-cookie platform. We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or third-party retargeting technologies. The following table describes all storage technologies in use:

3. Third-Party Services and Their Data Practices

We integrate with the following third-party services that may process data on your behalf. Each has its own privacy and cookie policies:

Google Calendar (Google LLC)

Used to create and manage private investor meeting appointments. When a meeting is scheduled, your name and email address are shared with Google Calendar to create the event.

📍 United States (with EU Standard Contractual Clauses)Privacy Policy ↗

SendGrid (Twilio Inc.)

Used to send transactional emails: meeting confirmation and 24-hour reminder. Your name and email address are processed to deliver these messages.

All third-party data processors are bound by Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) that require them to process your information only on our instructions and in accordance with applicable privacy law.

4. Legal Basis for Using Cookies

Under PIPEDA Principle 3 (Consent) and Quebec Law 25, we rely on the following bases:

Strictly Necessary: The inv_session localStorage token is strictly necessary for the operation of the investor portal. No consent is required for strictly necessary technologies, as they are essential to provide the service you have requested.
Consent (Performance Analytics): Anonymized analytics are used only with your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage and cookies, or by contacting our DPO.

5. Your Choices and How to Control Cookies

You have the right to control how cookies and similar technologies are used on your device. Here are your options:

Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or delete existing ones. Note that disabling all cookies may prevent you from using the investor portal, as the session token is required for authentication.

Clear localStorage

To remove the session token and sign out of the investor portal, use the Sign Out button on any investor page, or open your browser's Developer Tools → Application → Local Storage and delete the inv_session key.

Contact Our DPO

To opt out of anonymized analytics or to exercise any other cookie-related right, contact our Data Protection Officer at [email protected] or +1 (647) 671-5067.

6. Quebec Residents — Additional Rights (Law 25)

Quebec's Law 25 grants you specific rights regarding technologies that collect personal information. In particular:

You have the right to know what personal information is collected through cookies and similar technologies, and for what purpose.
You have the right to withdraw your consent to the use of non-essential cookies at any time, without penalty.
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information collected through these technologies.
You may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information (CAI) at www.cai.gouv.qc.ca.

7. Maine Residents — Additional Rights (MODPA)

Under applicable Maine privacy law, you have the right to opt out of the collection of your personal data through tracking technologies. Since we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking technologies, this right is largely satisfied by our minimal-cookie approach. For any concerns, contact our DPO.

8. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we introduce new technologies or in response to changes in applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to registered investors by email.
